So it turns out Ol’ Ironsides McCain and his family own 13 cars. The Dems are shouting this from the rooftops, especially since McCain previously said he “bought American literally all [his] life.” But it’s not really big news. I mean, McCain’s rich, SURPRISE! And it’s not like those cars are actually his. All of them except the American-made 2004 Cadillac CTS are registered in his wife’s name.
You remember his wife, the car enthusiast and beer-heiress multi-millionaire, Cindy. Most likely, either she or the children drive those cars, while Johnny just sticks to the Caddy, or the Secret Service convoy. Does owning that many cars actually say anything bad about him as a politician? I mean, don’t get me wrong, I despise the freaky looking old curmudgeon as much as any freedom-loving American, but honestly, owning 13 cars doesn’t do anything except raise his stock with me.
Let’s look at this logically:
Obama only has 1 car. McCain has 13, some Toyota, some Honda, some Volkswagen. Toyota, Honda, and Volkswagen (soon) all have auto plants in the US. That just means McCain and his family have pumped MORE money into the US auto industry than Obama has. Am I right?
