Ford has announced the changes to the 2009 Lincoln Navigator SUV.
First Ford has improved the Navigator's fuel economy to 14 mpg city and 20 mpg highway for 4x2 models. Ford achieved these results by using software to shut off the fuel supply to the engine during deceleration, similar to the 2009 F-150 SFE. The Navigator is powered by a 300 horsepower 5.4L V8 that is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
